4. Use short words, short sentences and short paragraphs.

This is my new favorite advice. Why? Because of the multiple references to Vonnegut. I have so much  love for Welcome to the Monkey House.

Anyway. I snagged this little beauty from the Huffington Post. The advice is simple. There’s really no excuse why those of us who call ourselves writers can’t follow them–a lot of it is just common sense.
